The Works, Ebbw Vale

Forest Pennant commercial paving & copings

Restoration of pedestrian links between Ebbw Vale & The Works

We supplied Blaenau Gwent Council with 1600 sq.m of Forest Pennant paving and 60Lm of copings to restore links between the town centre and The Works. The council set a tight deadline for completion of works and had to ensure that all suppliers were able to deliver high quality product on schedule - our production capacity and efficiency could provide that assurance.

Complementing the existing environment

The link pathway has sections with dark stone on either side - reminders of Ebbw Vale's industrial heritage. The light tones of the mixed colour Forest Pennant sandstone added a reflective quality to the walk and complemented the existing local paving materials. Combined with the stainless steel railings and guard railings they have a pedestrian link that looks superb.

Forest of Dean Stone Firms is one of only two suppliers of indigenous Pennant sandstone and the company's efficiency and response times were the winning factor .... we now have a pedestrian link that looks superb
